Ok, now that I've vented on all of you, (sorry!) I also noticed how sites like Facebook have become a part of our daily lives. I think almost every one of my classmates mentioned getting on FB at least once a day. It's amazing how much they have integrated into our lives and our culture.
Just for grins and giggles I looked up the top most visited websites on the internet. The website I got the information from had the "Top 500 Global Sites" but I'll just list the top 20 here. If you want to see the rest go to http://www.alexa.com/topsites
I literally copy and pasted this on here so I won't take credit for whats written here (and you're on your own with the stuff in different languages. I can't help you there.)

Did anyone else find it weird that Google shows up three different times on this list?
ReplyDeleteI agree that the news can be a bit depressing. And although I enjoy politics, I can certainly understand how the coverage gets annoying. Keep checking those papers and you'll find better stories.
ReplyDeleteNice blog design, by the way.
haha thanks! I had fun with it. :)
DeleteI've always felt the same way about the news. Flipping through pages of politics, conflict, and finance can get pretty dreary. And like you said, it's no that I don't find those subjects important, I just want something else thrown in once in a while! The only full article I read the last time I picked up a paper was about a polar bear in Germany that was having a monument built to it. I guess that's a comment on what will interest me.
ReplyDeleteAnd that is weird about Google; you'd think they would just lump those together.
I do the same thing. I think the last one I read was about a russian cybergang who uses Facebook to spread viruses that steal your information. They really built a monument to a polar bear??
